In a sale that is firmly in a league of its own this season, Bathurst’s Millah Murrah Angus has delivered a stellar result at its annual on-property sale last Thursday.

Millah Murrah Angus has belied the market and set the standard for this season’s studstock sales, selling all 123 bulls to a top of $140,000 and a cracking $27,227 average.

There was something for everyone at the 35th annual Millah Murrah Angus sale with the first 20 lots averaging $34,950 and grossed $699,000.

Millah Murrah Angus stud made its mark on a global scale, setting a new world record on-property bull sale average of $43,633.

The 2021 bull sale averaged $34,221, a national all-breeds record, also believed to be an all-breeds world record for a bull sale of 100 head or more.

The 2020 bull sale averaged $20,384, a new national breed record, surpassing our 2019 figure of $17,261. It was the highest average of all breeds for 2020. The high seller was Quixote Q96 who sold to a syndicate including ABS Australia for $60,000.
